Yamaha Motor Company was founded on July 1st, 1955 as a response to diversify from their core business of producing musical instruments. You may notice the clue in the logo which comprises 3 tuning forks.

From musical instruments, motorcycles, marine products, life science developments, automated robots and other products, Yamaha’s philosophy is one of Kando " the simultaneous feeling of deep satisfaction and intense excitement when our customers use Yamaha product, offering excitement and a more fulfilled life and creating value that surpasses our customer’s expectations. For motorcycles and scooters, whatever our customer’s desire, in 2009 Yamaha can offer a model to fit.

The new season will bring the Superbike to end all Superbikes, the NEW YZF-R1. With its crossplane crank and uneven firing order coupled with a brand new chassis, it’s the class act of 2009 and with GSE Racing’s Leon Camier and James Ellison on board, it will be an exciting year at BSB for the brand.

A really exciting addition to Yamaha’s ‘entry level’ class of ’09 is the XJ6 Diversion which sets itself out as an easy to ride, fun and stylish middleweight.

Mention the VMAX and it conjures power, adrenaline and passion " well 0 to 60 in a blink of an eye with a contemporary chassis and 200 horses makes this a unique ride for sure!

For those that want their style to be a bit more laid back, Yamaha’s new entry level cruiser the XVS950A Midnight Star will provide heavyweight looks with a lightweight feel.

The new enduro inspired WR125R and its supermoto brother, the WR125X will give the younger rider something that they have been yearning. Using the class leading YZF-R125 motor, these full-sized radically styled Yamahas give owners some serious credibility on either dirt or street.

Also new for 2009 is the 50cc 4 stroke scooter, Neo’s.  Delightfully attractive, economical and practical, this great scooter will make life that bit more pleasurable.
